A reminder that Electioneering—actively campaigning within 100 feet of a polling place—is illegal under Election Law §17-130.
Prohibited acts include:
- Waving flags or signs
- Handing out literature
- Asking voters for support
Violation is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year in jail.
