Marc R. Pallozzi, Esq.
Attorney – Criminal Defense, DWI, Vehicular Crimes, and Civil Litigation
Marc R. Pallozzi is an experienced New York trial attorney whose practice focuses on criminal defense, DWI and vehicular crimes, traffic matters, civil litigation, and an expanding housing and real estate practice representing developers throughout New York State. He is admitted to practice in all New York State courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.
Mr. Pallozzi brings a rare dual-perspective to his work, having handled cases on both sides of the courtroom. Prior to entering private practice, he served as Bureau Chief of Vehicular Crimes in the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted complex DWI and serious vehicular offenses. His prosecutorial experience also includes major felony matters ranging from robberies and burglaries to homicide cases. That background gives him a detailed understanding of how criminal cases are investigated, charged, and litigated—insight he now uses to aggressively protect the rights of individuals facing criminal prosecution.
As a defense attorney, Mr. Pallozzi has represented clients in matters spanning the full spectrum of criminal exposure, from traffic violations and misdemeanors to the most serious felony charges. He is known for thorough preparation, direct and honest advice, and a steady courtroom presence. Whether negotiating with prosecutors, litigating suppression issues, or preparing for trial, he develops individualized strategies tailored to the facts of each case and the goals of each client.
In addition to his criminal defense practice, Mr. Pallozzi has developed a growing housing and real estate litigation practice, representing large developers and property owners across New York State. His work in this area includes code enforcement matters, compliance litigation, and disputes arising from landlord/tenant relationships or leases.
A lifelong resident of Rensselaer County, Mr. Pallozzi remains deeply connected to the community he serves. He previously served on the Knickerbacker Park Board and the Hope Seven Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Friends of 112th Street Board of Directors. He is an active youth sports coach, currently coaching Pop Warner football and previously coaching youth basketball, soccer, and Little League. Outside the courtroom, he is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast and trains at CrossFit Shatter in Albany. He is also a proud Buffalo Bills season ticket holder and a supporter of regional arts organizations, including the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and Proctors Theatre.
Mr. Pallozzi earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University at Albany, where he was a two-time First Team All-American in the javelin throw and competed on both the Football and Track & Field teams. He received his Juris Doctor with honors from Albany Law School, where he served as Executive President of the Student Bar Association Senate, Executive Editor of the Albany Law Review, and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers in recognition of excellence in oral advocacy.
